Intraoral Digital Photography: Benefiting Patients

Although we’ve been using digital photography in our practice for years, there was a time when we used conventional film. The problem was that we would send out the film, and get the results a week later. It was also expensive, and used a lot of toxic chemicals. So, a number of years ago, we adopted the use of digital cameras to record both intraoral and extraoral photographs.

Now, the images are immediately available to show our patients so they know exactly what is going on, the images are easy to store and retrieve, and we can also provide these photographs to the insurance companies immediately when requested.
